So there is more than a decent probability that we will likely take Congress next election. Make it happen. If you don’t have the proper voter ID, get one. If your Democratic friend does not have one, help them get one. There’s 11 months before the election. About 300 days. At some point, we can get them. And make sure you know where your polling place is and when election day is, Make sure every single one of your friends know. There’s going to be a lot of misinformation. Twitter trolls telling black people that election day changed. Club for Growth and Americans for Prosperity will be sending out fliers with the wrong date of the election to every minority community in America. They’ve done this bullshit before. We need to go into every community, especially ones where English is not the primary language and make it clear that anyone who tries to tell them Election Day has changed is lying.
But winning the election is only the first fight. I hate to say it but step two may turn into an actual fight. And though a lot of people here, me included, don’t like guns, it may be time for us to learn to use them. And get comfortable with the thought of using them to kill.
And let me clarify right out of the gate I’m not saying kill RWers who are legally elected. I’m saying that there will be a backlash if Dems get control of the government. There will be violent attempts to suppress minority voters. And the militia movement will go apeshit. We must be prepared to put it down ourselves because if the Bundy Boneheads are any indication, the police damn sure won’t. And the juries won’t convict because the militia people are on the juries.
And you’re probably thinking I’m being silly. That’s understandable. But look at history.
Remember those KKK guys who shifted elections by murdering black voters? After Roy Moore got his arse handed to him, that relic from the 19th century is coming back. The Nazis see that they can't underestimate minority voters. You think Nazi sympathizers like Jeff Sessions are going to protect us? If you do, put down the bong.
Remember the kind of sociopaths we're dealing with. They've sent rape threats to multiple women who said stuff they don't like about video games. They cheered with glee when someone was murdered in Charlottesville. Dylan Roof is considered a hero by a lot of these scumbags. We must assume they're willing to do anything. And we must, if necessary, be willing to meet force with force. And not the silly "get Nazis fired" force or this punch a Nazi to get on Youtube junk. Actual force.
Hate cannot drive out hate. But love damn sure didn't stop the bullet that killed MLK.
And if/when we win elections, we may have to step up and defend those victories. I don't mean in court. And I don't mean at the election board. I mean "we may have to put 'Any Means' into "By Any Means Necessary." Look at the facts:
When it was thought that Hillary was gonna win, the militia idiots already stated they were going to start standoff after standoff after standoff after standoff to make sure the government was too consumed by their bullshit to do anything else. A significant portion of Roy Moore supporters won't accept that they were outvoted. And if these types lose control of the government on a mass scale, they won't go quietly.
We can't depend on the police to defend our voters or our candidates. We saw the NYPD's tantrums. You think the police unions will defend the people who want to dismantle the protections from accountability that they've spent millions to protect? More likely that they'll help the militia freak find his sniper perch and take an opportune coffee break.
Winning the elections will be the first step folks. These guys are cray-cray. And the “proper authorities” will aid and abet these people. The prosecutions will half-ass the cases like they always do against the racists.
There is no “going high” option here. We will have to defend our communities. Minorities, LGBT, and disabled people are on our own. When the militia movement tries to use violence to overturn the election of any candidate they don’t like, we must take up arms and put them down ourselves. Because it’s a safe bet that Sessions and the police are on their side.
